Whether you’re super single or you’ve been off the market for 25 years and counting, Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be depressing or just another run of the mill date night. Instead of crying over your box of chocolates (all my single ladies!) or doing dinner and a movie, spice it up a little this V-Day! Here are some cool alternatives to what you might usually be doing the weekend of February 14th.
Phoenix events:
Park it on Main Street to admire vintage cars! Once you’ve seen all the automobiles your heart desires, jam out to some rockabilly, swing and pop music! The event takes place on Friday, February 12 from 6-8 p.m. at The Shops at Norterra.
Sip something strong this Saturday at the Arizona Strong Beer Festival at Steele Indian School Park. Admission is $45 for those who want to sample some craft beers and $10 to attend the event sans beverages.
Laugh out loud at an interactive comedy show this Valentine’s Day! The Tempe Center for the Arts is putting on a Q and A session on love and marriage. Ask two of the funniest comedians any question you want, but don’t forget to keep it PG!
Salt Lake City events:
Break out your boots and get a little country at Kip Moore’s concert this Saturday night! Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 the day of, so saddle up and get to it!
Try out your green thumb at the Red Butte Botanical Gardens! The snow makes for a beautiful, scenic stroll with your significant other, gal pals or bros! (and admission is half off this month! Whoo!)
Let it snow on a ski trip this weekend! We hear Brighton and Alta Snow are where it’s at.
